It Takes A Village

It Takes a Village

Community Partnerships + Individual Support
= Family atmosphere for our students

Connie Evans brought in breakfast pizza and snacks for our students.  Food is the key to our students hearts.  Here Janessa, Jaerden and Elijah smash some pizza before starting their day.

During this Thanksgiving season, we want to show our appreciation for the many volunteers who help fill the gaps in our program. Many community organizations and individuals have graciously spent time and resources on our school. Check out a few of them below!

The Kinwell Board

The list of volunteers starts with our board members. Our board president, Jerry Harshman, has been volunteering his time as superintendent since our start. Kinwell would not exist without his efforts. The other board members are Amy Smelser, Jim Gartland, Jim Sonnefield, Terry Munday, Tim Chambers, Michelle Bunker, Ryan Jones, Doug Ballinger, and Kelly Snyder. These folks provide countless resources for the Kinwell Family. Their sacrifice is deeply appreciated.

Bringing In Meals

Many others have stepped up to the plate this year. We have people bringing in meals, painting our walls, sharing their life stories, donating warm clothes, tutoring our students, and working behind the scenes to make our students' lives better.

Indiana Wesleyan Basketball Team

Indiana Wesleyan Basketball invited Ron and Corbin to a game and asked them to be a part of the pre and post game speeches.  Our students heard how unity makes a team stronger.  Same theme we preach at Kinwell.

Mayor Jess Alumbaugh

Thank you Jess Alumbaugh and Mike Flynn for feeding our students and talking with them about ideas for our community.  Our students pushed hard for a new mall!

If you would like to get involved at Kinwell, we would really appreciate your help! There are several areas in which we could use your assistance. You can respond to this email to get in touch with our Director and find out more.

Thank you to all those who donate, serve, and pray for our Kinwell family!
