Paint Your Own Pottery KITE Trip

On Wednesday, JoAnna Witzig and Latrese Moffitt took a group of girls to Noblesville for a day of creativity and connection. We went to Kiln Creations, a paint-your-own-pottery studio in historic downtown Noblesville. We each picked out a piece of pottery, and a helpful employee guided us through different painting techniques and color options. It was so fun to see these girls light up with excitement!

As we gathered around the painting table, girls opened up and shared vulnerably about previous school experiences, ways they rest and relax, and any difficult relationships. We ended our trip with a visit to Courtney's Kitchen, another local favorite in downtown Noblesville. Over burgers, fries, and homemade pie, we shared childhood memories and favorite recipes.

I am always encouraged by the connections forged when we have students gather together around a table. Walls come down, stories are shared, and everyone feels welcomed into the Kinwell family.

Thank you for praying for us and providing the funds necessary to enable trips like this! None of these girls had ever been to Noblesville, painted their own pottery pieces, or been to a special restaurant like Courtney's Kitchen. Coming alongside our students as they participate in new experiences in new places is one of our staff's favorite aspects of working at Kinwell.

We are looking for a new or used outdoor table to be used by our students before and after school! Many of them sit in the parking lot and eat, so we'd love to have something nicer to enjoy being outside! Email Roger if you'd like to help.
That right there is a phenomenal breakfast casserole donated to us by Ronda from College Wesleyan Church. It only had minutes to survive on the dreary Monday morning before our students took care of it. They love receiving food! You can email Roger if you'd like to purchase or donate in any way.

Prayer Requests

1. Group counseling starts for our students who chose to participate next week! We have three groups starting out...pray for connection with the helpers and openness in our students.
